For those of you that don't know them, they are pretty AMAZING! Here is my mischievous, fun-loving, inquisitive, full of energy, first-born son, Chandler.
This picture was taken by my fabulous friend Wendy Hardin when Chan was three. He is nearly four and a half now, but this is still one of my favorites of him.
And here is our newest addition. Liam is oh-so-lovable, happy, laid back, precious, and one CHUNKY MONKEY.
This shot was taken by Wendy Hardin when Liam was six months. He is eight months now, but looks more like twelve :).
And here is a shot of us all taken by.....are you ready....Wendy Hardin--shocking, I know ;) Wendy, you can thank me later for all the plugs.
And here they are. The reasons...why I get up in the morning...why I can't wait to get home from work in the afternoon...why my heart warms when their arms are around me...why I can't help but smile with just the thought of one of these faces. My sweet family. Man, do I love these boys. All three of 'em.
So, why is Momma Koehn starting a blog anyway? Well, it's a New Year, and with each New Year I resolve to do many things, most of which I really do for a while before letting them fall one at a time by the wayside. But not this year. Nope, this year I am sticking to each one. For good...at least I hope so.
Anyhoo, first on my list of resolutions was to record more of our family memories, and I figured that a blog would be a great way to do that. Plus, I have lots of family members and friends who've told me how much they enjoy reading my Facebook posts about Chan's crazy antics (his "Chantics", if you will) and seeing Liam's sweet pictures. So, Snips & Snails is a glimpse into our life with these two AMAZING boys. My goal is one blog a week starting January 16th. I am not going to count the first two weeks since that would mean I am already behind. ;)
So, to read or not to read??? That is the question from me to you. If you decide to follow Snips & Snails, I hope you enjoy. And maybe if you do decide to read, you will hold me accountable for my blog posts??? This is my resolution, after all. :)
One last thing...since I love quotes, verses, and other wordy snippets, my intention is to end my blog each week with someone else's words that have meant something or made a difference to me. So I will leave you with this:
"We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures."
~Thornton Wilder~
Till next week, friends!
Brittany :)
P.S.- I guess now I can add a new title to my resume: Author :)
P.P.S.- My second resolution was to read more. Does the reading and re-reading of my own words during the blogging process count??? If so, I'm ahead on that one!
Brittany, I love it and will want to get advice from you on how to begin blogging. I am trying to encourage my daughter, Hannah, to blog. She is very witty and a great writer.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great read and I love the quote at the end!
Congrats on sticking to your resolution and blogging about your 3 favorite guys!
Awesome!
I love the blog! It is a great way to keep up with all that your kiddos are getting into. I use mine as a journal for our family and I try to document all that is going on through the years. I use a site called blog2print to print them up at the end of each year in a book so that I can look back on it. I started it about a year before we had Gavin. The more you do it, the more into it you will become. I can't wait to read all about what is up with the Koehn Family!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be faithful followers, Brittany. What a lovely gift to your guys, your friends & especially, yourself! Love ya.
