We've been on the go most of the week again, but enjoying every minute of it! Chandler is loving his summer break, though he is getting excited about kindergarten in August. We are trying to make the most of every week this summer before he starts school.
Tuesday we went to see the drummers from Global Education at the Mt. Juliet Public Library. They were amazing!! And perfect for Chandler and Liam who both have drum sets and play all the time. They absolutely loved it. They explained the different types of drums that they had, where they were native to, and played different beats from Africa, the Pacific Islands, and Central America.Their performances were great and it was very educational, too. Wednesday we went to the $1 movie to see Yogi Bear. Chandler loves going to the theater, but mostly just so he can get stuff out of the quarter machines and pretend to play the motorbike game. Liam does great during the movie because it's during his nap time. Perfection! And since Wednesday was summer solstice (Justin had told Chan about it, so he knew it was the longest day of the year), I told him we could play outside until the sun went down that night. The boys had a blast, but man were they disgusting when it was time to come in!

Trying to blow his own bubbles. Liam would follow the bubbles that I blew and "Uh-Oh" every single time one of them popped. Too cute! |
Boy (n): a noise with dirt on it....no better description for this picture! |
Thursday we went to the pool with some friends. Chandler loves swimming, especially when he gets to go with his best buds Maddox and Miles. Liam is not too fond of the water, but he will at least get in if Momma holds on tight to him.

Friday we relaxed at home for a bit. Chandler has been getting out his crayons, markers, and pencils a lot lately to do some writing and coloring. He used to not enjoy it at all, but has taken more interest lately. (Shout out to Mrs. Susan!! Thanks!!) I am pretty pleased that he now attempts to, and does well at, staying in the lines. We are still working on using the correct colors for things...he likes purple suns. Drives his OCD Momma crazy!

Looking foward to more summer fun with my boys this week, but hoping to get some things done around the house, too...Chan has VBS Monday-Thursday! Yippee for some time to clean!
