Down on the Farm

As if I haven't said it enough lately...I just love this time of year!  October (and all the loveliness it brings with it) must be my very favorite month.  And we have been having the most gorgeous weather this October!  Usually our fall break is much warmer, but it has actually felt like fall this year.  Since we have been having such lovely weather, Justin decided to take Wednesday off so that we could have a family outing since Chan is camping all weekend with my sister and her family.

So then, what to do on our family outing?  Well, what better way to spend a beautiful autumn day than to take the kiddos to the farm??  We decided to head out to Lucky Ladd Farms in Eagleville, TN.  I have visited most of the farms/pumpkin patches in the area over the past few years, either with Chan or taking my kinders on field trips.  But, I had not yet been to Lucky Ladd and have always heard great things about it.  It took us an hour to get there, but the drive was absolutely worth it!  The staff was super friendly and there was so much to do that we didn't even get to it all in the 2 1/2 hours that we spent there!  Definitely a great day spent at Lucky Ladd!  Here are some pictures of the boys having a blast:

My sweet Chan about to tackle the Corn Maze

Liam & Daddy working their way through.  They won...left me & Chan lost in the maze.

These things do WHAT??

Liam digs chicks...Ha, see what I did there?

So much to do!  Where to go next???

Yay for Jack-o-lantern photo-ops!

About to head over to feed the animals

Chan feeding the kid

Liam squeezing the kid's head.  Seriously, I feared for the kid...the goat, not Liam.  He was so excited he was squeezing & poking all the animals in the eyes!  He's gotta get himself under control :)

He calmed down after a few minutes, then resorted to just trying to stick his finger in the nostrils of each animal.  He succeeded with a few.

Feeding the sheep with Daddy

Not sure what's going on here, but I think that llama was about to throw down

Chan with the calf, who was so super precious I almost tried to smuggle him home in the miniature van

Chan thought the piglet was "so cute"

Liam coming down the duel slide with Daddy

And down the big slide with Mommy...the kid LOVES slides!

Chan loved this!  Ran up the hill about 5 million times to keep sliding down.

Having a "see"food lunch thanks to Liam

Making smores in the fire pit

Worn out & ready to head home

Funny thing is, we were having such a great time that we missed the last hayride to the pumpkin patch.  So, we may just make a trip to Pumpkin Hill next weekend!   Sounds like a great way to spend another lovely October day to me :)

Till next week friends!
