Scarecrow, Scarecrow

Scarecrow, Scarecrow
How scary can you be?
You scared Chandler
But you didn't scare me!

Have I mentioned how much I love this time of year??  Today Justin and I took the boys to a scarecrow workshop so that we could build the scarecrow for our outdoor fall decor.  We had so much fun!  Already looking forward to going back next year and making Momma scarecrow.  One family member at a time, though...so today we built Daddy.  The boys had a blast and so did we....other than Justin's constant sneezing, wheezing, nose-blowing, and that new rash that has formed on his arms.  Sorry, Jus!  (Oh, the things we do for our kids, right?!)

Before starting our scarecrow

Face-painting fun too!  Chan opted for the black skull.

The boys with some of the scarecrows...Liam obviously wasn't too thrilled about this photo op.

Stuffing the head with newspaper

Top stuffed, now on to the legs

Short post again tonight, because tomorrow we are off for more fall fun!  Heading to East Tennessee!  Yay!!  Hoping the fall foliage is going to be just right :)

"I haven't got a brain...only straw."
"How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?"
"I don't know...but some people without brains do an awful lot of talking, don't they?"
"Yes, I guess you're right." ;)

  1. What a fun idea to make your own scarecrows with the kids. I am definitely stealing this idea in the future because it seems like a ton of fun. And how life-like it is! Excellent job, Chan! Looks just like Justin :)
