Ah, Valentine's Day. And love is what it's all about. The the starry-eyed Valentines, the love notes, flowers, chocolates... okay, so I've never been a huge fan of the holiday in the traditional way you might think about it. (For instance, Justin and I shared an exquisite Taco Bell dinner tonight for Valentine's.) But something about being a mom makes every holiday a bit more fun and exciting. So, on this, The Day of Love, I wanted to share some of the things about my little loves that warmed my heart this week.
Geez, look at them! They reek of cuteness!! |
1. His "Ma-Ma"s are becoming much more dinstinct and intentional this week. Makes my heart melt!
B. The little stinker turned 9 months old on February 9th and was on the GO! All that rocking and scooting has finally paid off. Our "little" one is on the move, and we're in trouble!
3. Not only did he start crawling, but Baby Lamb is now pulling up on anything that will support his 20 lbs. of chunk. It took the child 8 months to roll over (yes, really...8 months) and now he is reaching milestones like nobody's business. He is definitely gonna be my laid back kid.
Oh, and look at those eyes....gorgeous! |
A. I don't get to put Chan to bed as much as I used to since Liam came along. Bedtime used to be our thing. Lately, I get 2-3 nights a week and Daddy takes the rest so that I can tend to Liam & chores. So, Sunday night's unprompted "Mommy, I love you to the moon and back" is definitely a winner this week.
2. His rendition of Lady Gaga's "On the Edge" this week left me with stomach cramps I was laughing so hard. We literally laugh at this kid hundreds of times throughout the week, but hearing him sing "I'm on the edge-uh, the edge-uh, the edge-uh, the edge-uh, THE EDGE-UH, THE EDGE-UH!!!" on the way home the other night was hilarious. SO wish I had caught that one on camera.
C. Chan has been in to Mario Brothers this week big time. To the point where he has picked out complete red and green outfits from his wardrobe (right down to the unders) so that he can dress like Mario and Luigi. Monday Justin picked up the boys from school because I had a doctor's appointment and I'd told Chan that he could play Mario when they got home. I came home to this, which left me doubled over in laughter:
Not the best shot, but loving the 'stache |

Till next week friends!

P.S.- I just have to share Chandler's Valentines for his friends at school because they turned out super-duper cute:
